St Asaph - 26 August 2010 An entry of 3322 lambs, 1022 cull ewes and rams and 12 beef cattle and 3 OTM cattle. Lambs The 3322 lambs on offer returned an overall average of 167.82p/kilo. The top price lambs per kilo were 203p/kilo for lambs weighing 38.5kg and shown by I & EE Williams, Tyddyn Isaf. The top price lambs per head were £89.00 for lambs weighing 56kg and shown by D W & EF Roberts, Tan Y Graig. Cull Ewes & Rams An entry of 1008 cull ewes averaged £44.74 and the 14 rams £54.61. The top price ewes were £88 and shown by S E Williams, Hendre Fawr. The top price rams were £80.00 and were shown by I M Evans & Son, Sarn. Beef Cattle The 12 beef cattle on offer returned and averaged of 145.95p/kilo. The 4 steers on offer averaged 141.86p/kilo and sold to 146.5p for a steer shown by E M Roberts, Cefn Castell. The top price steer per head was £954.95 and was shown by the same vendor. The 8 heifers on offer averaged 148.06p/kilo and the sold to 167.50p/kilo for a heifer shown by T LL Griffiths & Partners, Tantryfan. The top price heifer per head was £956.80 and was shown by H E Roberts, Parc. OTM Cattle The 2 cows on offer sold to 87.5p/kilo and the one OTM heifer on offer sold to 132.5p/kilo. ............................................................................................................
